Downpipe (Range Rover 3)

Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all the requirements and conditions contained in the section on disconnecting the battery are met.

GENERAL INFORMATION, Precautions when working with electrical equipment.

The catalytic converter is integrated into the downpipe and is not serviced separately.

Dismantling

1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.

2. Remove the exhaust system.

EXHAUST MANIFOLD AND EXHAUST SYSTEM: Td6 engine.

REPAIR WORKS, Exhaust system and suspension of system elements.

3. Turn off 2 nuts of fastening of a flange of a reception pipe to a turbocharger and remove a reception pipe.

Assembly

1. Wipe down pipe flange and mating surfaces.

2. Install downpipe, align flanges, install nuts and do not tighten yet.

3. Reinstall the exhaust system.

EXHAUST MANIFOLD AND EXHAUST SYSTEM: Td6 engine.

REPAIR WORKS, Exhaust system and suspension of system elements.

4. Tighten the nuts securing the downpipe to the turbocharger. Tightening torque 42 Nm.

5. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
