Valve Timing Control Valve (VCC) Right (Range Rover 3)

Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all the requirements and conditions contained in the section on disconnecting the battery are met.

GENERAL INFORMATION, Precautions when working with electrical equipment.

Dismantling

1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.

2. Remove the air hose.

ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: V8 engine, REPAIR WORK, Hose connecting the air mass sensor to the throttle pipe.

3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the VCC solenoid valve.



4. Turn away 2 bolts of fastening of a cover of an epiploon of the electromagnetic valve VCC and take out an epiploon.



5. Install the LRT-12-226 socket onto the camshaft adjuster solenoid valve and remove the valve.

CAUTION: When removing the solenoid valve, be careful not to get oil on the drive belts.

Assembly

1. Install the LRT-12-226 socket onto the camshaft adjuster solenoid valve and screw in the valve.

2. Tighten the RFG solenoid valve. Tightening torque 25 Nm. Remove head LRT-12-226.

3. Wipe the VCC valve, valve packing and mating surfaces.

4. Lubricate the inside mating surface of the VCC valve packing.

5. Install the solenoid valve seal, screw in the bolts and tighten them.

6. Connect the electrical connector to the solenoid valve.

7. Replace the air hose.

ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: V8 engine, REPAIR WORK, Hose connecting the air mass sensor to the throttle pipe.

8. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
