Removing the lower part of the oil pan (Range Rover 3)

Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all the requirements and conditions contained in the section on disconnecting the battery are met.

Dismantling

1. Put the car on a lift.

2. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.

3. Drain the engine oil.

MAINTENANCE, SERVICE OPERATIONS, Engine oil and oil filter - V8 engine.

4. Turn away 21 bolts of fastening of the lower part of the oil pallet to the top. Remove the bottom of the oil pan and discard the gasket.

Assembly

1. Wipe the mating surfaces on the oil pan.

2. Lay a new gasket on the mating surface of the lower pallet.

3. Install the lower part of the oil pan.

4. Screw in 21 bolts of fastening of the lower pallet and tighten them with the moment of 10 Нм.

5. Fill the engine with oil.

6. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
