Oil receiver with strainer (Range Rover 3)

Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all the requirements and conditions contained in the section on disconnecting the battery are met.

Dismantling

1. Put the car on a lift.

2. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.

3. Remove the lower part of the oil pan.

V8 engine, REPAIR WORK, Removal of the lower part of the oil pan.

4. Remove the 2 bolts securing the oil receiver with strainer to the oil pump, remove the oil receiver and discard the 2 O-rings.

Assembly

1. Wipe the oil receiver with strainer and mating surfaces.

2. Install a new O-ring in the recess, put the oil receiver on the oil pump.

3. Screw in and tighten the 2 bolts securing the oil receiver to the oil pump.

4. Install the lower part of the oil pan.

V8 engine, REPAIR WORK, Removal of the lower part of the oil pan.

5. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
