Upper engine cover (Range Rover 3)

Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all the precautions prescribed for this procedure have been taken.

GENERAL INFORMATION, Precautions when working with electrical equipment.

Removing

1. Disconnect "negative" battery wire.



2. Turn away 3 bolts of fastening of a casing and remove it.

NOTE: No further disassembly is necessary if the cover has been removed for access only.

3. Remove the stops and grommets from the top casing.



4. Disconnect the 3 clips securing the sound deadening padding to the casing. Remove padding.

Installation

1. Attach the soundproofing padding to the casing using clips.

2. Install grommets and restrictors.

3. Replace the top casing, screw in and tighten the mounting bolts. Tightening torque 5 N «m. Connect the negative terminal of the battery.

4. Attach "negative" wire to the battery.
