GENERAL INFORMATION, Precautions when working with electrical equipment.
Removing
1. Place the car on a lift.
2. Disconnect "negative" battery wire.
3. Remove the lower protective cover.
EXTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORKS, Engine protection - front.
4. Install a container to catch spilled liquids.
5. For right-hand drive models: Remove the hollow bolts securing the hydraulic fluid supply pipe to the power steering pump, remove the pipe and discard the O-rings.
ATTENTION: Before disconnecting or removing engine components, the places immediately adjacent to the mating surfaces or connectors must be cleaned of dirt. To prevent contamination, place plugs on open connectors.
6. Remove the intake air receiver.
HEATING AND VENTILATION, REPAIR WORKS, Air filter - air intake.
7. Remove the turbocharger intake air hose.
ENGINE MANAGEMENT Td6:, REPAIRS, Turbocharger intake duct.
8. Using tools LRT-12-094 and LRT-12-214, loosen the viscous fan clutch nut and remove the fan assembly from the coolant pump.
NOTE: The thread is left hand.
9. Loosen, but do not completely remove, the nut securing the engine support bracket to the left engine support.
10. Turn away a nut of fastening of the right support of the engine to a basic arm.
11. Turn away two bolts of fastening of the right support of the engine to a stretcher.
12. Turn away a bolt of fastening of the compressor of a central air and remove a wire "masses".
13. Disconnect the vacuum hoses from the support.
ATTENTION: Before disconnecting or removing engine components, the places immediately adjacent to the mating surfaces or connectors must be cleaned of dirt. To prevent contamination, place plugs on open connectors.
14. Place lifting chains on the engine lifting eyes and lift the engine just enough to make it off the mount.
15. Remove the engine support.
Installation
1. Wipe the mating surfaces.
2. Install the support.
3. Screw in bolts of fastening of a support to a stretcher, but do not tighten them.
4. Lower the engine onto a stand.
5. Tighten the bolts securing the support to the subframe. Tightening torque 56 Nm.
6. Tighten the nuts securing the engine support brackets to the supports. Tightening torque 100 Nm.
7. Unhook the lifting chains.
8. Connect the vacuum hose.
9. Connect the wire "masses" and tighten the compressor mounting bolt. Tightening torque 24 Nm.
10. For right-hand drive models: Wipe the hydraulic fluid supply pipe to the power steering pump and its connection points.
11. For right hand drive models: Using new O-rings, install tube to pump and tighten banjo bolts. Tightening torque 36 Nm.
12. Install the fan on the pulley and tighten the viscous clutch nut. Tightening torque 40 Nm.
13. Install the turbocharger intake air hose.
ENGINE MANAGEMENT Td6:, REPAIRS, Turbocharger intake duct.
14. Install the intake air receiver.
HEATING AND VENTILATION, REPAIR WORKS, Air filter - air intake.
15. Install the bottom cover.
EXTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORKS, Engine protection - front.
16. Attach "negative" wire to the battery.
17. For right hand drive models: Bleed the power steering system.
