Removing
1. Disconnect "negative" battery wire.
2. Remove the crankshaft pulley.
ENGINE TD6, REPAIR WORKS, Crankshaft pulley.
3. Install the puller head LRT-12-168/2 until it stops against the crankshaft.
4. Check that the bore of the LRT-12-168/1 tool is free of burrs.
5. Move tool LRT-12-168/1 to the crankshaft front oil seal and tighten the bolt to remove the oil seal.
6. Remove the puller head from the crankshaft.
Installation
1. Wipe the face of the oil seal bore in the front cover and the sealing surface of the crankshaft.
2. Install the oil seal guide LRT-12-209 on the crankshaft.
3. Align the oil seal on the crankshaft and remove the guide.
4. Install pin LRT-12-210 on crankshaft.
5. Put the LRT-12-211 mandrel onto the LRT-12-210 stud, tighten the mandrel with the nut until it stops with your fingers.
6. Continue tightening the nut until the LRT-12-211 tool rests against the front cover.
7. Remove tools LRT-12-210 and LRT-12-211.
8. Install the crankshaft pulley.
ENGINE TD6, REPAIR WORKS, Crankshaft pulley.
9. Attach "negative" wire to the battery.
