Crankshaft pulley (Range Rover 3)

Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all the precautions prescribed for this procedure have been taken.

GENERAL INFORMATION, Precautions when working with electrical equipment.

Removing

1. Disconnect "negative" battery wire.

2. Remove the lower protective cover.

EXTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORKS, Engine protection - front.

3. Remove the accessory drive belt.

SYSTEM OF STARTING THE ENGINE AND CHARGING THE BATTERY, REPAIR WORKS, Attachment drive belt - Td6 engine.

4. Remove and discard the 4 bolts securing the pulley to the crankshaft. Remove the pulley.

Installation

1. Clean pulley and counter mating surface.

2. Install pulley.



3. While holding the pulley in the correct position with the tool LRT-12-213, screw in new Torx bolts and tighten them sequentially to 40 Nm. Then tighten the bolts by 60o and again by 60o.

4. Install the accessory drive belt.

5. Install the bottom cover.

6. Attach "negative" wire to the battery.
