Oil pressure check (Range Rover 3)

Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all the precautions prescribed for this procedure have been taken.

GENERAL INFORMATION, Precautions when working with electrical equipment.

Examination

1. Disconnect "negative" battery wire.

2. Turn out the contact gauge of pressure of oil.

ENGINE TD6, REPAIR WORKS, Oil pressure switch.

3. Install the sealing washer on the pressure gauge adapter LRT-12-052/10.

4. Install the adapter LRT-12-052/10 in place of the contact pressure sensor and tighten it.

5. Install pressure gauge LRT-12-052C and tighten fitting.

6. Check the oil level and top up if necessary.

7. Attach "negative" wire to the battery.

8. Start the engine and warm it up to operating temperature.

9. Record the oil pressure with the engine running at no load at 3500 rpm.

10. Stop the engine.

11. Disconnect "negative" battery wire.

12. Turn away the manometer.

13. Turn out an adapter.

14. Wipe off any oil spills.

15. Install the oil pressure switch.

ENGINE TD6, REPAIR WORKS, Oil pressure switch.

16. Check the oil level and top up if necessary.

17. Attach "negative" wire to the battery.
