Removal and installation of a radiator (Range Rover 3)

Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all the requirements and conditions contained in the section on disconnecting the battery are met.

GENERAL INFORMATION, Precautions when working with electrical equipment.

Dismantling

1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.

2. Put the car on a lift.

3. Drain the engine coolant.

COOLING SYSTEM: V8 engine, ADJUSTMENTS, Coolant drain, system flush and fill.

4. Remove the fan guard.

COOLING SYSTEM: V8 engine, REPAIR WORK, Viscous fan clutch.

5. Remove the screw and disconnect the transmission oil heat exchanger from the radiator.

6. Loosen the clamps and disconnect the top hose, bottom hose and expansion tank hose from the radiator.

7. Remove the heatsink assembly mounting screws from the top of the heatsink frame.

8. Tilt the heatsink assembly back and loosen and remove the clips securing the heatsink.

9. Carefully remove the heatsink.

Assembly

1. Install the radiator on the support, put on and secure the clips.

2. Place the radiator in its original position and secure it through the top panel of the radiator frame.

3. Install the transmission oil heat exchanger on the radiator and secure the heat exchanger.

4. Attach hoses to a radiator and fix them collars.

5. Install the viscous fan clutch.
