Cooling jacket cover gasket (Range Rover 3)

Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all the requirements and conditions contained in the section on disconnecting the battery are met.

GENERAL INFORMATION, Precautions when working with electrical equipment.

Dismantling

1. Put the car on a lift.

2. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.

3. Disconnect the tubes connecting the distribution pipe to the cooling system pump.

COOLING SYSTEM: V8 engine, REPAIR WORK, Pipes connecting the distribution pipe to the cooling system pump.

4. Turn away 20 bolts of fastening of a cover of a jacket of a cooling system and remove a cover.

5. Dispose of the cover gasket.

Assembly

1. Clean the mating surfaces of the cover and cylinder block from gasket residues.

2. Install a new gasket on the cover.

3. Establish a cover of a jacket of a cooling system on the block of cylinders and tighten bolts. Tightening torque 10 Nm.

4. Install the pipes connecting the coolant pump to the distribution pipe.

COOLING SYSTEM: V8 engine, REPAIR WORK, Pipes connecting the distribution pipe to the cooling system pump.

5. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
