Removal and installation of a radiator (Range Rover 3)

Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all the requirements and conditions contained in the section on disconnecting the battery are met.

GENERAL INFORMATION, Precautions when working with electrical equipment.

Dismantling

1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.

2. Drain the engine coolant.

COOLING SYSTEM: Td6, ADJUSTMENTS AND MAINTENANCE, Coolant drain, system flush and fill.

3. Remove the viscous fan clutch.

COOLING SYSTEM: Td6, REPAIR WORK, Viscous fan clutch.

4. Turn away 2 collars of fastening of the top hose of a radiator and a hose of a broad tank to a radiator. Disconnect both hoses.

5. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the lower hose from the radiator.

6. Loosen the clamp and from the radiator hose of the transmission oil cooling heat exchanger.

7. Remove the heatsink assembly mounting screws from the top of the heatsink frame.

8. Tilt the heatsink assembly back and loosen and remove the clips securing the heatsink.

9. Carefully remove the heatsink.

Assembly

1. Install the radiator on the support, put on and secure the clips.

2. Place the radiator in its original position and secure it through the top panel of the radiator frame.

3. Connect and secure the cooling system hoses.

4. Install the viscous fan clutch.
