Ignition coils — kit (Range Rover 3)

Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all the requirements and conditions contained in the section on disconnecting the battery are met.

GENERAL INFORMATION, Precautions when working with electrical equipment.

Dismantling

1. Remove the soundproof casing of the engine.

V8 engine, REPAIR WORK, Engine soundproofing cover.

2. Remove the left cover of the ignition coils.

ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: V8 engine, REPAIR WORK, Left row ignition coil cover.

3. Remove the right cover of ignition coils.

ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: V8 engine, REPAIR WORK, Right row ignition coil cover.

4. Remove 2 nuts and wires "masses" from valve covers.



5. Disconnect the connectors from the ignition coils.


6. Dispose of the ignition coil cover gasket.



7. Turn away 14 nuts of fastening of coils of ignition. Remove 8 ignition coils.

Assembly

1. Insert 8 ignition coils.

2. Screw on 14 nuts of fastening of coils of ignition and tighten them. Tightening torque 4 Nm.

3. Install a new ignition coil cover gasket.

4. Put the connectors on the ignition coils.

5. Put on the wire "masses" on the valve cover and tighten the nut. Tightening torque 4 Nm.

6. Establish the right cover of coils of ignition.

ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: V8 engine, REPAIR WORK, Right row ignition coil cover.

7. Establish the left cover of coils of ignition.

ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: V8 engine, REPAIR WORK, Left row ignition coil cover.

8. Replace the engine soundproof cover.
