Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all the requirements and conditions contained in the section on disconnecting the battery are met.

GENERAL INFORMATION, Precautions when working with electrical equipment.

Dismantling

1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.

2. Remove a noise-insulating casing of the engine.

V8 engine, REPAIR WORK, Engine soundproofing cover.

3. Remove the 2 plugs from the cover of the ignition coils.

4. Turn away 2 bolts of fastening of a cover of coils of ignition to a valve cover.

5. Remove the left cover of the ignition coils.

6. Remove the 2 spacers from the cover of the ignition coils.

NOTE: If disassembly was carried out only to provide access to other elements of the system, then further disassembly operations should not be performed.

7. Loosen the nut and remove the wire "masses" from the valve cover.




8. Disconnect the connectors from the ignition coils.

9. Dispose of the ignition coil cover gasket.

Assembly

1. Install a new ignition coil cover gasket.

2. Put the connectors on the ignition coils.

3. Put on the wire "masses" on the valve cover and tighten the nut. Tightening torque 4 Nm.

4. Install 2 spacers on the cover of the ignition coils.

5. Establish a cover of coils of ignition, screw and tighten 2 bolts.

6. Insert 2 plugs into the cover of the ignition coils.

7. Replace the engine soundproof cover.

V8 engine, REPAIR WORK, Engine soundproofing cover.

8. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
