GENERAL INFORMATION, Precautions when working with electrical equipment.
Dismantling
1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.
2. Remove the intake air hose.
ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: V8 engine, REPAIR WORK, Hose connecting the air mass sensor to the throttle pipe.
3. Cut 3 plastic ties and loosen the camshaft position sensor harness (CMP).
4. Disconnect the connector from the camshaft position sensor (CMP).
5. Turn away a bolt of fastening of the sensor of position of a cam-shaft (CMP) and remove the sensor. Dispose of the O-ring.
Assembly
1. Wipe the camshaft position sensor (CMP) and mating surfaces.
2. Install a new O-ring.
3. Install the camshaft position sensor (CMP), screw in the bolt and tighten it to 10 Nm.
4. Secure the camshaft position sensor harness with three plastic clamps.
5. Connect the connector to the camshaft position sensor (CMP).
6. Replace the intake air hose.
ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: V8 engine, REPAIR WORK, Hose connecting the air mass sensor to the throttle pipe.
7. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
8. If a new sensor has been installed, reconfigure the control system using the TestBook/T4.
