Crankshaft position sensor (CKP) (Range Rover 3)

Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all the requirements and conditions contained in the section on disconnecting the battery are met.

Dismantling

1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.



2. Disconnect the block from the crankshaft position sensor (CKP).

3. Remove the hexagon socket screw and remove the crankshaft position sensor (CKP).

4. Remove and discard gasket.

Assembly

1. Wipe the crankshaft position sensor (CKP) and mating surfaces.

2. Install a new seal on the crankshaft position sensor (CKP).

3. Install the crankshaft position sensor (CKP) and tighten the fastening screw to 8 Nm.

4. Attach the block to the crankshaft position sensor (CKP).

5. Attach "negative" battery terminal.

6. If a new sensor has been installed, reconfigure the control system using the TestBook/T4.
