Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor (APP) (Range Rover 3)

The accelerator pedal position sensor is not serviced separately from the accelerator pedal.

Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all the requirements and conditions contained in the section on disconnecting the battery are met.

Dismantling

1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.



2. Remove a protective cap from a bolt and turn out a bolt of fastening of a pedal of an accelerator.

3. Disconnect the pedal from the bracket, disconnect the connector from the pedal position sensor (APP) and remove the pedal.

Assembly

1. Install the accelerator pedal and connect the connector to the pedal position sensor.

2. Fasten the pedal to the bracket and tighten the mounting bolt to 10 Nm. Put the protective cap on the bolt.

3. Attach "negative" battery terminal.

4. If a new sensor has been installed, reconfigure the control system using the TestBook/T4.
