Gear shift electromagnet (Range Rover 3)

Dismantling

1. Remove the transmission pan.

AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION - ZF 5HP24, REPAIR WORKS, Gasket - automatic transmission oil pan.

2. Disconnect the connector blocks from the solenoid valves.

3. Remove the 9 Torx screws securing the solenoids mounting plate, remove the mounting plate.

4. Remove the solenoid valve and remove the o-ring, if installed.

Assembly

1. Wipe mating surfaces of the solenoid valve.

2. Install new O-rings on the solenoid and lubricate them with automatic transmission fluid.

3. Install the solenoid on the spool and valve block.

4. Install the solenoid mounting plate, tighten the mounting screws and tighten them with a torque of 10 Nm.

5. Attach blocks to sockets of electromagnetic valves.

6. Replace the drip tray.
