Gear selector lever (Range Rover 3)

Dismantling

1. Remove the center console.

CAR INTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORKS, Center console.

2. Disconnect the engine start interlock cable from the ignition lock housing.

3. Remove the retainer securing the outer shift cable to the gear selector mechanism.

4. Loosen and remove the latch that secures the internal shift cable to the selector mechanism, remove the plastic spacers from the cable.

5. Disconnect two blocks of a socket of the mechanism of the selector.

6. Turn away three nuts of fastening of the selector mechanism, remove the selector mechanism.

Assembly

1. Install the selector mechanism on the bracket, install the fastening nuts and tighten them with a torque of 25 Nm.
2. Connect the block to the connector of the selector mechanism.

3. Put the plastic spacers on the cable and attach the cable to the selector mechanism.

4. Attach the engine start interlock cable to the ignition lock housing.

5. Reinstall the center console.
