Laying of the pallet of a case of automatic transmission (Range Rover 3)

Dismantling

1. Drain the working fluid from the automatic transmission crankcase.

AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION - GM 5L40-E, ADJUSTMENTS, Automatic transmission fluid - drain and fill.

2. Loosen and remove the 20 pan fixing screws evenly and gradually.

3. Remove pan and discard gasket.

Assembly

1. Wipe the sump flange and crankcase mating surface.

2. Install a new gasket on the pan and align the pan with the automatic transmission case.

3. Install the screws securing the pallet and tighten them gradually and evenly with a torque of 10 Nm.

4. Fill in working liquid in automatic transmission.
