Electronic control unit (Range Rover 3)

If the ECM needs to be replaced, connect the Testbook/T4 and perform the recommended operations before disconnecting the battery.

Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all the requirements and conditions contained in the section on disconnecting the battery are met.

Dismantling

1. Disconnect the negative plug from the storage battery.



2. Remove the 10 Allen screws securing the electronics compartment cover and remove the cover.



3. Disconnect the three blue connector blocks of the automatic transmission electronic control unit.

4. Release the automatic transmission electronic control unit from the mounting bracket and remove it from the electronic unit compartment.

Assembly

1. Install the automatic transmission electronic control unit on the bracket and attach the connector blocks.

2. Install the cover of the electronics compartment, tighten the Allen type screws and tighten them with a torque of 2 Nm.

3. Connect the negative terminal to the battery.
