Examination
1. By moving the selector lever from the position "R" to each subsequent position, check how each gear shift occurs. Return lever to position "R".
2. Make sure the engine starts when the selector lever is in the "R" or "N", and starting the engine is blocked if the selector lever is in the drive positions.
Adjustment
1. Put the car on a lift.
2. Move the selector lever to position "R".
3. Raise the vehicle on a lift.
4. While holding the locking device with two wrenches, loosen the nut securing the inner cable to the selector lever.
5. Move the selector lever to position "R".
6. Turn the shift lever on the gearbox fully counterclockwise to the position "R".
7. Tighten the stopper nut to 15 Nm.
8. By moving the selector lever from the position "R" to each subsequent position, check how each gear shift occurs. Return lever to position "R".
9. Make sure the engine starts when the selector lever is in the "R" or "N", and starting the engine is blocked if the selector lever is in the drive positions.
