When performing maintenance work, replacing components, and installing accessories, pay special attention to the following.
If a vehicle is fitted with non-Land Rover approved components, it may impair the driving safety and corrosion resistance of the vehicle. In some countries, the legislation prohibits the installation of components on the vehicle that have not been certified as part of the vehicle. When performing assembly and disassembly work, the tightening torques of the fasteners specified in this Manual must be observed. Where provided by the design, fasteners must have locking devices. If the locking device has lost its initial effectiveness, then it must be replaced with a new one.
Those owners who purchased car accessories while traveling abroad should make sure that these accessories and the way they are installed on the car comply with the laws of the country of residence.
The terms of the vehicle's factory warranty may be renegotiated if components not approved by Land Rover are installed on the vehicle during repairs.
NOTE: Installing components or accessories that are not approved by Land Rover, or making changes to the design, may impair the driving safety of the vehicle.
In this case, the Land Rover warranty will be void.
All Land Rover approved components are covered by the same warranty as a new vehicle.
All Land Rover Dealers are required to install only Land Rover approved replacement parts.
