General remarks
PLEASE NOTE: If possible, use a roller stand to test the braking forces of all four wheels at the same time.
Stand for simultaneous testing of the braking forces of all four wheels
Ensure that the front and rear pairs of rollers rotate at the same speed, ensure that the established safety regulations are observed. During the test, there are no restrictions on wheel speed, except for the restriction imposed by the maximum permissible speed of the tires.
WARNING: The automatic transmission selector must be in position N, the hill descent control must be off, and the parking brake must be fully released.
During the brake force test, the engine must be idling to provide the vacuum necessary for the operation of the vacuum booster.
Stand for simultaneous testing of the braking forces of the wheels of one axle
If the braking forces are determined on the stand for simultaneous testing of the braking forces of the wheels of one axle, then the following precautions must be taken:
- Disconnect from the transfer case the cardan shaft of the wheel drive of the axle that is not mounted on rollers.
- Set the automatic transmission selector to position N.
