- Raise the vehicle only on a level and firm surface.
- Apply the parking brake.
- Move the automatic transmission selector to position "R".
To avoid damage to components underneath the vehicle, strictly observe the following instructions.
DO NOT INSTALL JACKS OR LIFT BRACKETS UNDER THE FOLLOWING COMPONENTS:
- Body panels, with the exception of the special provided support areas
- Bumpers
- Fuel lines
- Fuel tank
- brake pipes
- Front or rear suspension arms
- transfer box
- Tie rods
- Front or rear axle gearboxes
- Engine oil pan
- automatic transmission
NOTE: For some operations, it may be necessary to install an oil pan stopper. In this case, a block of wood or a piece of rubber should be placed between the engine tray and the thrust part of the lifting device.
Jack included in the vehicle spare parts kit
The jack supplied with the vehicle is for emergency use only when changing a wheel. DO NOT use this jack for any other purpose. The installation locations of this jack and the sequence of actions are given in the Vehicle Operating Instructions. It is forbidden to carry out any work on a car installed only on a jack.
Hydraulic jack
Only hydraulic jacks with a permitted load of at least 1500 kg are suitable for use (3300 pounds).
WARNING: Before starting work on the bottom of the car, hung on a jack, it is necessary to install stands under the body in the places provided.
Place wheel chocks under the wheels when lifting the vehicle. You should not rely on the parking brake - after the rear axle wheels are torn off, it does not work.
Lifting the car and installing stands
The illustrations below show the jacking points.
Raising the front of the car
Engage the parking brake, move the automatic transmission selector to the position "R" and place wheel chocks under the rear wheels.
WARNING: When raising the front of the vehicle, always place wheel chocks under the rear wheels.
Install the hydraulic lift rod under the front subframe cross member as shown in the illustration.
Places for installing stands under the front of the car.
Raise the vehicle so that it is possible to install stands either under the front subframe or under the recommended body platforms for using the standard lift.
CAUTION: Place blocks of wood or pieces of rubber between the body support pad and stand to prevent damage to the body.
Gently lower the jack rod - the car should smoothly lower onto the stands.
WARNING: After the vehicle has been jacked up, it must be placed on safety stands.
Before starting work on the bottom of the car, once again make sure that the car is securely installed on stands.
To remove the vehicle from the stands, follow these steps in reverse order.
Raising the rear of the car
Move the automatic transmission selector to position "R" and place wheel chocks under the front wheels.
WARNING: When raising the rear of the vehicle, always place wheel chocks under the front wheels.
Position the hydraulic lift rod in the center of the rear subframe crossmember as shown in the illustration. The vehicle can also be lifted from the center of the towing device, if fitted.
Places for installing stands under the rear of the car.
Raise the rear of the car so that you can install stands under the rear subframe. Stands can also be installed under body platforms designed for use with a standard jack, or under the front attachment points of the rear subframe.
CAUTION: Place blocks of wood or pieces of rubber between the body support pad and stand to prevent damage to the body.
WARNING: If the washers of the front mounting points of the rear subframe are damaged during the lifting of the body, they must be replaced.
Gently lower the jack rod - the car should smoothly lower onto the stands.

Before starting work on the bottom of the car, once again make sure that the car is securely installed on stands.
To remove the vehicle from the stands, follow these steps in reverse order.
Lifting the car on stationary lifts
Read the following instructions before lifting the vehicle on stationary lifts.
WARNING: The jack as part of a four-post lift, designed to hang the car by the body, does not allow you to securely hold the hung car.
To hang the car by the body on a four-post lift, hang the front and rear parts of the car in turn and place stands under them. Stands should be installed under the platform of the body, intended for installation of a regular jack.
CAUTION: Place blocks of wood or pieces of rubber between the body support pad and stand to prevent damage to the body.
WARNING: Do not use the upper and lower control arms to raise the vehicle.
You can also use a two-post lift to hang the car. Support brackets (paws) bring the lift under the platforms intended for the installation of a regular jack.
ATTENTION: To prevent damage to the body, place wooden blocks or pieces of rubber between the body support platform and the lift bracket.
