Checking the coolant level

1. Check the coolant level and top up if necessary.

2. On a cold engine, remove the expansion tank cap.

3. Pour the recommended antifreeze solution into the reservoir until the float in the filler neck rises to the top position.

REFILLING CAPACITIES, APPLIED FLUIDS, OILS AND SEALANTS, Concentration of water solution of antifreeze (low freezing liquid).

CAUTION: The coolant level must not be above the base of the float when the float is in its highest position.

4. Check the concentration of antifreeze in the coolant.

5. Check the condition of the O-rings and reservoir cap and replace if necessary.

6. Install the expansion tank cap.

Coolant replacement

1. Replace coolant.

COOLING SYSTEM: Td6, ADJUSTMENTS AND MAINTENANCE, Coolant drain, system flush and fill.

COOLING SYSTEM: V8 engine, ADJUSTMENTS, Coolant drain, system flush and fill.
