Air conditioning regulator throttle (left-hand drive) (Range Rover 3)

Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all the requirements and conditions contained in the section on disconnecting the battery are met.

GENERAL INFORMATION, Precautions when working with electrical equipment.

Dismantling

1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.

2. Remove the air intake box.

3. Empty the air conditioning system and collect the refrigerant.

AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM, AIR CONDITIONER DRAINAGE, REFRIGERANT RECOVERY AND CHARGING, Air Conditioner Emptying - Refrigerant Recovery and Charging.

4. Remove the glove box.

5. Remember the installation position and disconnect the 8 blocks from the fuse box.



6. Remove the 4 Torx screws securing the fuse box and move it aside.




7. Remove the screw securing the floor duct to the bracket. Remove the air duct.



8. Disconnect the evaporator sensor cable from the cover of the TXV unit.

9. Remove the 4 Torx screws securing the TXV box cover and move it to the side.



10. Remove 2 Allen type screws securing A/C piping to baffle, disconnect piping, remove and discard O-rings.




11. Remove the 2 Allen type screws holding the A/C piping to the TXV unit, disconnect the piping, remove and discard the o-rings.

12. Remove the TXV block.

13. Close the openings of all connections with plugs.

Assembly

1. Clean the mating surfaces and sealing locations of the evaporator, TXV unit, and A/C piping.

2. Lubricate new O-rings with clean special oil and install them on the evaporator lines.

3. Install the TXV unit on the air conditioner piping, install the clamps, tighten the fixing screws and tighten them with a torque of 6 N «m.

4. Place the air conditioning piping on the partition, tighten the fixing screws and tighten them with a torque of 6 N «m.

5. Install and secure the cover of the TXV unit.

6. Position and secure the lower air duct of the heater.

7. Attach the evaporator sensor cable.

8. Install the fuse box and secure it with screws.

9. Attach blocks to sockets of the block of safety locks.

10. Install the glove box.

11. Prime the A/C system.

AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM, AIR CONDITIONER DRAINAGE, REFRIGERANT RECOVERY AND CHARGING, Air Conditioner Emptying - Refrigerant Recovery and Charging.

12. Replace the air intake box.

13. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
