GENERAL INFORMATION, Precautions when working with electrical equipment.
Dismantling
1. Put the car on a lift.
2. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.
3. Empty the air conditioning system and collect the refrigerant.

4.
NOTE: The water separator must be replaced if the following occurs: There is dirt in the air conditioning system (compressor stuck). The tightness of the system is broken, and the refrigerant enters the atmosphere. As a result of the repair, the air conditioning system remained open for more than 24 hours.
5. Remove the air hose.
ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: V8 engine, REPAIR WORK, Hose connecting the air mass sensor to the throttle pipe.
6. Remove the 2 screws securing the compressor belt tensioner.
7. Loosen the belt tension and remove the belt from the compressor pulley.
8. Move the tensioner to the crankshaft pulley to facilitate the dismantling of the compressor.
9. Disconnect the connector block from the compressor.
10. Remove the screw securing the back of the compressor to the support.
11. Turn out 2 Allen screws fastening pipelines of the conditioner to the compressor. Disconnect the lines from the compressor.
CAUTION: Always plug fittings and openings to keep dirt out of the system.
12. Remove and discard O-rings from A/C lines.
13. Remove the 2 screws securing the compressor to the support bracket.
NOTE: The top mounting screw must remain in the compressor housing during removal and installation.
14. Remove the compressor from the car.
Assembly
1. If a new compressor is installed, the specified amount of refrigerant must be drained from it.
GENERAL INFORMATION, Precautions when working with the air conditioning system.
2. Make sure the mating surfaces of the A/C piping and the compressor flange are clean.
3. Wipe the mating surfaces of the compressor and compressor mounting bracket.
4. Mount the compressor on the support bracket. Tighten the 3 fixing screws.
NOTE: The top mounting screw must remain in the compressor housing during removal and installation.
5. Gradually and evenly tighten the screws securing the compressor to 25 Nm.
6. Lubricate new O-rings with clean special oil and install them on the evaporator lines.
7. Connect the pipelines of the air conditioner with the compressor, wrap the mounting screws and tighten them with a torque of 22 Nm.
8. Connect the connector block to the compressor.
9. Place the tensioner on the support, wrap the 2 screws and tighten them with a torque of 25 Nm.
10. Turn the tensioner to fully tension the compressor drive belt.
11. Tighten the 2 belt tensioner screws to 25 Nm.
12. Replace the air tube.
