GENERAL INFORMATION, Precautions when working with electrical equipment.
Dismantling
1. Raise the front of the car.
WARNING: Do not work under a vehicle raised only on a jack or lift. Always install safety props.
2. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.
3. Empty the air conditioning system and collect the refrigerant.
AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM, AIR CONDITIONER DRAINAGE, REFRIGERANT RECOVERY AND CHARGING, Air Conditioner Emptying - Refrigerant Recovery and Charging.
NOTE: The water separator must be replaced if the following occurs: There is dirt in the air conditioning system (compressor stuck). The tightness of the system is broken, and the refrigerant enters the atmosphere. As a result of the repair, the air conditioning system remained open for more than 24 hours.
4. Remove the turbocharger intake air hose.
ENGINE MANAGEMENT Td6:, REPAIRS, Turbocharger intake duct.
5. Remove the viscous fan clutch.
COOLING SYSTEM: Td6, REPAIR WORK, Viscous fan clutch.
6. Remove the compressor drive belt.
AIR CONDITIONING, REPAIR WORKS, Compressor drive belt - Td6 engine.
7. Remove the Allen screw securing the pulley arm to the spring tensioner and remove the arm assembly.
8. Turn out 2 screws of fastening of pipelines of the conditioner to the compressor. Disconnect the lines from the compressor.
CAUTION: Always plug fittings and openings to keep dirt out of the system.
9. Remove and discard O-rings from A/C lines.
10. Remove the screw securing the intercooler hose bracket (intercooler) to the compressor and move the bracket to the side.
11. Disconnect the connector block from the compressor.
12. Remove the terminal screw "mass" compressor cable and move the cable aside.
13. Turn out the screw of fastening of a back part of the compressor to a support, release the compressor from adjusting pins and remove the compressor.
Assembly
1. If a new compressor is installed, the specified amount of refrigerant must be drained from it.
GENERAL INFORMATION, Precautions when working with the air conditioning system.
2. Make sure the mating surfaces of the A/C piping and the compressor flange are clean.
3. Clean the mating surfaces of the compressor and bracket.
4. Make sure the rear screw is inserted into the hole in the compressor case, install the compressor on the dowel pins and tighten the screw by hand.
5. Install the screw and secure the aftercooler bracket (intercooler) on the compressor.
6. Screw in the screw and fasten " mass" compressor cable.
7. Gradually and evenly tighten the compressor mounting screws to 25 Nm.
8. Lubricate new O-rings with clean special oil and install them on the evaporator lines.
9. Connect the pipelines of the air conditioner with the compressor, wrap the mounting screws and tighten them with a torque of 22 Nm.
10. Connect the block to the compressor connector.
11. Install tensioner arm assembly and tighten Allen screw to 10 Nm.
12. Install the compressor drive belt.
