GENERAL INFORMATION, Precautions when working with electrical equipment.
Dismantling
1. Raise the car on a lift.
2. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.
3. Remove the lower engine protection.
EXTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORKS, Engine protection - front.
4. Loosen the 2 extra screws on the belt tensioner.
5. Turn the tensioner to loosen the belt tension.
6. Remove the belt from the tensioner pulley.
7. Remove the belt from the crankshaft pulley.
8. Loosen the two screws securing the compressor belt tensioner.
9. Remove the belt from the tensioner pulley.
10. Remove the belt from the crankshaft and compressor pulleys.
Assembly
1. Make sure the transmission pulleys are not damaged or dirty.
2. Put the belt on the crankshaft and compressor pulleys.
NOTE: Make sure the belt is correctly positioned in the pulley grooves.
3. Install the compressor drive belt onto the tensioner pulley.
4. Turn the tensioner to fully tension the compressor drive belt.
5. Tighten the 2 belt tensioner screws to 25 Nm.
6. Slide the implement drive belt over all pulleys except for the idler pulley.
7. Slide the belt over the tensioner pulley. Make sure the drive belt wraps around all the pulleys.
8. Rotate tensioner to fully tension implement drive belt.
9. Tighten the tensioner bolts to 30 Nm.
10. Reinstall the lower engine guard.

11. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
