Dismantling
1. Remove the airbag module from the steering wheel.

2. On models with electrically heated steering wheel: Disconnect the connector block of the rotary current collector assembly.
ATTENTION: Turn the steering wheel to the position corresponding to the direction of the wheels for straight ahead. This will ensure that the slip ring is locked when the steering wheel is removed.
3. Fix a steering wheel and turn out screws of fastening.
4. Right-hand drive vehicles: When the vehicle's wheels are set to straight ahead, the mark on the steering column must match the mark on the steering wheel as shown in the figure above.
NOTE: The marks on the steering wheel are 105°apart.
5. Left-hand drive vehicles: When the vehicle's wheels are set to straight ahead, the mark on the steering column must match the mark on the steering wheel as shown in the figure above.
NOTE: The marks on the steering wheel are 105°apart.
6. Note the coincidence of the marks on the steering wheel and steering column and remove the steering wheel.
NOTE: Do not further disassemble if a component is being removed only for ease of access.
7. On models with electrically heated steering wheel: Disconnect the connector blocks from the latches of the electronic steering wheel control unit and remove the electrically heated steering wheel electronic unit.
8. Turn out 4 screws of fastening of overlays of a steering wheel and remove overlays.
9. Remove the airbag retainers.
Assembly
1. Install the airbag clips.
2. Install the pads and secure them with screws.
3. On Heated Steering Wheel Models: Position the heated steering wheel control unit, attach the connector block, and reinstall the unit. Fasten the connector blocks in the clamps.
4. Make sure the vehicle wheels are turned to the straight ahead position and the slip ring is locked in the correct position.
5. Carefully install the steering wheel, making sure it engages with the current collector and is correctly positioned in relation to the steering column.
6. Establish the screw of fastening of a steering wheel and tighten it with the moment of 63 Н·м.
7. On models with electrically heated steering wheel: Attach the connector block of the recurrent collector assembly.
8. Install the driver's airbag.
