GENERAL INFORMATION, Precautions when working with electrical equipment.
Dismantling
1. Disconnect the negative plug from the storage battery.
2. Remove a forward facing of a radiator.
EXTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORKS, Radiator grille.
3. Remove the viscous fan clutch.
COOLING SYSTEM: Td6, REPAIR WORK, Viscous fan clutch.
4. Turn out 2 screws of fastening of an air branch pipe of a cooler of fuel to the panel of the lock of a cowl.
5. Turn out 2 screws of fastening of an air branch pipe to a fuel cooler.
6. Remove the air tube assembly from the vehicle.
7. Turn out 2 screws of fastening of a radiator to the panel of the lock of a cowl.
8. Tilt the heatsink assembly back and release and remove the retainers securing the heatsink.
9. Release the retainers securing the condenser fan shroud to radiator assembly and lift the shroud off the retainers.
10. Install a container to collect the escaping fluid.
11. Loosen the fastening and disconnect the hydraulic booster pipeline from the working fluid cooler.
CAUTION: Before disconnecting or removing steering components, make sure that the surfaces adjacent to the connection points are free of dirt. Install plugs in the openings of the fittings and pipelines to protect the system from dirt ingress.
12. Tilt the heatsink assembly back, release the retainers securing the heatsink, and remove it.
Assembly
1. Wipe places of accession of the pipeline of the hydraulic booster to a cooler.
2. Install and secure the power steering fluid cooler.
3. Install and secure the condenser fan shroud assembly.
4. Move the heatsink to the mounting position, install and secure the retainers.
5. Secure the radiator assembly by attaching it to the hood latch panel.
6. Connect the power steering hoses to the power steering fluid cooler and secure.
7. Install the air tube assembly and the screws that secure the tube to the fuel cooler.
8. Attach the end of the air pipe to the hood lock panel and tighten the fastening screws with a torque of 3 Nm.
9. Install the viscous fan clutch.
COOLING SYSTEM: Td6, REPAIR WORK, Viscous fan clutch.
10. Reinstall the front grille.
EXTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORKS, Radiator grille.
11. Attach the negative plug to the storage battery.
12. Add working fluid to the hydraulic booster reservoir and bleed air from the system.
