O-ring differential cover (Range Rover 3)

Dismantling

1. Remove the protective cover of the inner end of the right drive shaft.

DRIVE SHAFTS, REPAIR WORKS, Seal - drive shaft - front - right.

2. Turn out 4 screws, remove a cover of differential with a support of the bearing and remove a sealing ring.

NOTE: Do not further disassemble if the assembly is being removed for ease of access only.

Assembly

1. Clean the O-ring, ring groove, and mating surface.

2. Lubricate a new O-ring and install it in the differential cover.

3. Carefully install the differential cover in place, wrap the mounting screws and tighten them with a torque of 22 Nm.

4. Establish a protective cover of the right power shaft.
