Dismantling
1. Raise the rear of the vehicle and jack it up.
WARNING: Do not work under a vehicle raised only on a jack or lift. Always install safety props.
2. Remove the wheel.
3. Turn out 6 screws of fastening of a power shaft to a differential flange and remove three plates under screws. Discard the screws.
4. Install the jack, resting it on the lower suspension arm.
5. Remove the nut and bolt securing the lower arm to the wheel bearing support.
6. Lower the support jack.
7. Remove the drive shaft from the differential.
8. Install a container to collect the escaping oil.
9. Use a soft metal drift to release the differential flange.
10. Remove the differential flange.
11. Remove and discard the shaft retaining ring.
12. Being careful not to damage the seal groove, remove and discard the seal.
Assembly
1. Wipe the seal groove.
2. Install the seal using tool LRT-51-021.
3. Wipe the flange and flange shaft in contact with the seal.
4. Put a new circlip on the shaft.
5. Apply some lubricant to the splines and seal contact surfaces.
FILLING CAPACITIES, USED OPERATING LIQUIDS, OILS AND SEALANTS, Lubrication system.
6. Install the differential output shaft.
CAUTION: Press down on the output shaft flange to ensure that the circlip engages and holds the output shaft.
7. Wipe the lower arm and the mating surface of the wheel bearing support.
8. Connect the drive shaft to the differential.
9. Align the wheel bearing support with the lower suspension arm, insert the mounting bolt, screw and lightly tighten the nut.
10. Wipe the screw plates, install the plates, tighten the new screws securing the drive shaft to the differential shaft flange and tighten them to 40 Nm, then tighten them another 60°.
11. Reinstall the wheels and tighten the nuts to 140 Nm.
12. Remove props and lower the car.
13. Tighten the nut securing the lower arm to the wheel bearing support with a torque of 250 Nm.
14. Add oil to the final drive housing to the required level.
