Draining and filling the front differential (Range Rover 3)

Drain

1. Put the car on a lift.

2. Install a container to collect the oil.

3. Wipe the area around the crankcase drain and filler plugs.



4. Remove the drain plug and drain the oil.

Filling

1. Apply Sealing Paste, Part No. STC 50552 to the drain plug, screw it in and tighten to 65 Nm.



2. Remove the fill/check plug.

3. Fill the final drive case with fresh recommended oil until a thin stream of oil emerges from the filler/inspection hole. Wait for the oil level to settle.

FILLING CAPACITIES, USED OPERATING LIQUIDS, OILS AND SEALANTS, Lubrication system.

4. Apply Sealing Paste, Part No. STC 50552 to the filler/check plug, screw it in and tighten to 35 Nm.
