Dismantling
1. Remove the seat assembly.
SEATS, REPAIRS, Front seat.
2. Remove the Allen screw securing the armrest.
3. Remove the armrest from the hinge ledge.
4. Remove the head restraint.
5. Release the 3 seat back panel tensioner straps under the seat.
6. Release the brackets securing the backrest upholstery to the bottom of the backrest panel.
7. Release the edges of the upholstery on both sides of the seat back panel.
8. Remove the 2 pins securing the bottom of the back panel.
9. Separate the backrest panel from the seat.
10. Disconnect the lumbar support cable connector from the pump and spool.
11. Disconnect the connector block from the seat heater cable.
12. Release the cables from the retainer and pass through the backrest upholstery.
13. Remove the 2 Torx screws and remove the backrest frame from the seat frame.
14. Lift the front edge of the backrest upholstery to access the lumbar support chamber.
15. Disconnect the vacuum hose and pressure hose from the working chamber.
16. Remove the working chamber from the back frame.
Assembly
1. Install and secure the oven chamber to the backrest frame.
2. Connect the vacuum hose and the pressure supply hose to the working chamber.
3. Align the backrest frame with the seat frame, install the Torx screws and tighten to 25 Nm.
4. Pull the lumbar support cable through the upholstery and attach to the seat frame.
5. Attach the shoe to the seat heater connector.
6. Attach the lumbar support cable lugs to the pump and spool.
7. Install the back panel to the seat assembly and install the fastening pins on the bottom of the back panel.
8. Fasten both ends of the seat cushion upholstery to the back panel.
9. Clip the bottom of the upholstery to the back panel.
10. Attach the tension straps of the backrest panel to the clips on the bottom of the seat.
11. Install the armrest on the hinge and tighten the Allen screw to 25 Nm.
12. Install the seat in the car.
