Front seat cushion upholstery (with upper backrest adjustment) (Range Rover 3)

Dismantling

1. Remove the seat assembly.

SEATS, REPAIRS, Front seat.

2. Remove the block of switches.

SEATS, REPAIRS, Switch box - memorization of seat adjustments.

3. Turn out the screw of fastening of an overlay on the inside of the basis of a seat and remove an overlay.



4. Release the 3 seat back panel tensioner straps under the seat.



5. Turn out 2 screws of fastening of the lower decorative overlay of a back.

6. Release the bottom trim from the 6 clips and remove it.



7. Disconnect 2 cords of a tension of the top part of an upholstery of a back of a seat.


8. Loosen the tape "Velcro" back upholstery fixings.



9. Remove the trim from the back upholstery trim.

10. Release the pad from the 4 clips and remove it.



11. Carefully remove the 2 fasteners securing the head restraint to the motor housing.

12. Remove the head restraint.



13. Release the strap securing the seatback upholstery to the lower frame.




14. Disconnect blocks from sockets of electric motors of adjustment of a head restraint and the top pillow of a back.



15. Disconnect the lumbar support cable connector from the pump and spool.



16. Disconnect the connector block from the seat heater cable.

17. Release the 2 straps securing both sides of the bottom upholstery of the seatback to the frame.


18. Release a plait of electroconducting from 4 collars.

19. Remove the 2 Torx screws securing the backrest frame to the seat frame.

20. Remove the backrest assembly from the seat frame.



21. Separate the seat cushion trim from the side and front of the frame.

22. Remove the seat upholstery and cushion from the frame.



23. Release the 15 upholstery-to-cushion fastening rings and remove the upholstery.

Assembly

1. Install the upholstery on the cushion and secure it with 15 rings.

2. Install and secure the upholstered cushion to the frame.

3. Install the backrest assembly on the seat.

4. Align the backrest frame with the seat frame, install the Torx screws and tighten to 25 Nm.


5. Establish fixing straps of fastening of the parties of a bottom of an upholstery of a back.

6. Attach the shoe to the seat heater connector.

7. Attach the backrest cables to the clips.

8. Attach the lumbar support cable lugs to the pump and spool.

9. Connect the cable lugs to the headrest and upper backrest adjustment motor connectors.

10. Fasten the strap securing the bottom of the back upholstery to the frame.

11. Install the headrest and secure it to the motor housing.

12. Install the top trim and secure with the clips.

13. Attach the backrest trim to the trim.

14. Fasten "Velcro" back upholstery.

15. Attach 2 tensioner cords of the upper part of the back upholstery.

16. Establish the lower overlay and fix it with clamps.

17. Wrap screws of fastening of the lower overlay of a back.

18. Attach the tension straps of the back panel to the latches on the bottom of the seat.

19. Install the seat base trim and secure with screws.

20. Install the switch box.

21. Install the seat in the car.
