Front seat (Range Rover 3)

Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all the requirements and conditions contained in the section on disconnecting the battery are met.

Dismantling

1. Raise the seat cushion.



2. Remove the screw securing the seat belt to the front seat.

3. Remove plugs of nuts and turn away 2 nuts of forward fastening of a seat.

4. Move the seat forward.

5. Follow all safety rules when working with passive safety systems.

GENERAL INFORMATION, Safety Precautions When Working on the Airbag System (SRS).

WARNING: Always remove both battery terminals before working on the restraint systems (SRS). Disconnect first "negative " terminal. Never mix up the wires when connecting to the battery.

6. Release the seat cable block from the support, disconnect it from the cable connector.


7. Turn out 2 screws of back fastening of a seat.

8. Protect the threshold from damage.

9. With the help of an assistant, carefully remove the seat from the vehicle.

Assembly

1. Reinstall the front seat.

2. Wrap nuts and screws screws of fastening of a seat and tighten them with the moment of 45 Нм.

3. Close the nuts with plugs.

4. Install the seat belt on the seat and tighten the fastening screw with a torque of 48 Nm.

5. Connect the battery terminals, first "positive" terminal.

6. Move the seat to its original position.
