Front seat lumbar support chamber (with adjustable backrest) (Range Rover 3)

Dismantling

1. Remove the seat assembly.

SEATS, REPAIRS, Front seat.



2. Release the 3 tensioner straps of the seat back panel under the seat.



3. Turn out 2 screws of fastening of the lower decorative overlay of a back.

4. Release the bottom trim from the 6 clips and remove it.



5. Disconnect the 2 tensioner cords of the upper part of the seatback upholstery.


6. Release the tape "Velcro" back upholstery fixings.



7. Remove the trim from the back upholstery trim.

8. Release the trim from the 4 clips and remove it.



9. Carefully remove the 2 fasteners securing the head restraint to the motor housing.

10. Remove the head restraint.



11. Release the strap securing the seatback upholstery to the lower frame.




12. Disconnect blocks from sockets of electric motors of adjustment of a head restraint and the top pillow of a back.



13. Disconnect the lumbar support cable connector from the pump and spool.

14. Release a plait of electroconducting from 4 collars.



15. Disconnect the connector block from the seat heater cable.


16. Release the 2 straps securing both sides of the bottom upholstery of the seatback to the frame.

17. Remove the 2 Torx screws securing the backrest frame to the seat frame.

18. Remove the backrest assembly from the seat frame.



19. Release the 4 straps securing both sides of the backrest assembly to the frame.

20. Disconnect the 3 connector blocks from the seat heater circuit.

21. Lift the front edge of the backrest padding to access the lumbar support chamber.

22. Disconnect the vacuum hose and pressure hose from the working chamber.

23. Remove the working chamber of the lumbar support.

Assembly

1. Install and fasten the working chamber of the lumbar support to the frame.

2. Connect the vacuum hose and the pressure supply hose to the working chamber.

3. Pull the backrest upholstery onto the frame.

4. Attach 3 pads to the seat heater connectors.

5. Fasten the 4 straps securing both sides of the backrest upholstery to the frame.

6. Install the backrest assembly on the seat.

7. Align the backrest frame with the seat frame, install the Torx screws and tighten to 25 Nm.


8. Establish fixing straps of fastening of the parties of the bottom part of an upholstery of a back.

9. Attach the shoe to the seat heater connector.

10. Attach the backrest cables to the clips.

11. Attach the lumbar support cable lugs to the pump and spool.

12. Connect the cable lugs to the headrest and upper backrest adjustment motor connectors.

13. Fasten the strap securing the bottom of the back upholstery to the frame.

14. Install the head restraint and secure it to the motor housing.

15. Install the top trim and secure with the clips.

16. Attach the backrest trim to the trim.

17. Fasten "Velcro" back upholstery.

18. Attach 2 tensioner cords of the upper part of the back upholstery.

19. Establish the lower overlay and fix it with clamps.

20. Wrap screws of fastening of the lower overlay of a back.

21. Attach the tension straps of the back panel to the latches on the bottom of the seat.

22. Install the seat assembly in the vehicle.
