Threshold reinforcement panel (Range Rover 3)

This procedure covers the replacement of the threshold and sections "V/S" center pillar of the side panel of the body.

Dismantling

1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.

2. Disconnect the generator.

3. Remove all details and knots which are dismantled at replacement of section of a threshold of the side panel of a body.

REPAIR WORKS, Body side panel - sill section.

Repair work

1. Remove damaged panels, prepare joint edges and install new panels in accordance with the Body Panel Repair Code. Punch or drill holes in the panel to be installed for the cork weld as shown.

If the B-pillar reinforcement panel is not being replaced, the sill reinforcement panel must be cut at the location indicated by arrow A.

Assembly
1. Reinstall all parts and assemblies that are dismantled when replacing the threshold and sections "V/S" center pillar of the side panel of the body.

REPAIR WORKS, Body side panel - sill section.

2. Connect the generator.

3. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
