Luggage compartment door lock (Range Rover 3)

Dismantling

1. Remove the tailgate panel.

DOORS, REPAIRS, Inner panel - upper tailgate.

2. Remove the 4 Torx screws securing the lock and lock bracket to the tailgate.



3. Disconnect the connector block from the door lock.

4. Remove the lock assembly.

NOTE: If disassembly was carried out only to provide access to other elements of the system, then further disassembly operations should not be performed.

5. Disconnect the manual door opening cable.

6. Remove the 3 Torx screws securing the lock bracket to the lock. Remove the inner plate.

Assembly

1. Align the bracket with the lock, install the screws and tighten them with a torque of 10 Nm.

2. Attach the manual door opening cable.

3. Position the lock assembly on the door and connect the connector block.

4. Install the fastening screws and tighten them with a torque of 10 Nm.

5. Install the tailgate panel.

6. Adjust the tailgate bumper.
