Before injecting a protective compound, make sure that the cavities to be treated are free of dirt and foreign matter. If necessary, clean the cavity with compressed air.
Protective composition should be applied AFTER finishing touch-up and BEFORE installing any decorative and overhead elements.
During processing, make sure that the protective compound covers all flanges and joints and that it is applied to all repaired places, both old and newly installed panels.
It should be noted that new body parts and assemblies are supplied with internal cavities already treated with a protective compound. Ensure that these cavities are re-treated after repair.
Reliable processing of cavities is very important. Always observe the following rules:
- Finish all touch-up operations before applying protective composition.
- Before processing, clean the surfaces to be treated and, if necessary, blow out the cavities with compressed air.
- Keep the temperature at 18°C during processing and drying.
- Check the spray cone shape of the cavity treatment equipment.
- Cover all areas that should not be treated and that could be damaged if they come into contact with a protective compound.
- If there is a risk of contamination with protective compound when splashed, remove items such as the seat belt retractor.
- Raise the door glass all the way up before working on the inside of the doors.
- Treat areas of the body that are normally covered by overlays before installing these elements.
- Clean the drainage holes of the thresholds and doors after treatment with a protective compound.
- Keep all equipment clean, especially spray nozzles.
