The M66EHA50 6-speed manual transmission is manufactured by Getrag-Ford in Cologne, Germany. This gearbox has a very compact design with 4 shafts and front final drive gear, it is adapted for 4WD mode (AWD) and provides a connection between the main gear carrier and the transfer case. The gearbox is capable of transmitting high torque from the engine.

The gearbox has two mechanical shift cables from the selector lever and an electronic reverse gear lock.

The M66EH50 manual transmission has the following features:

• Maximum transmittable torque 380 Nm (with torque limit in first gear and reverse gear)

• Transmission oil filled for life - 1.9 liters to the level plug, oil specification MTF97309
• Front differential integrated with gearbox
• 6 forward gears

The clutch system is of the traditional design with a single driven plate and diaphragm spring clutch housing. The clutch has a hydraulic release actuated by the clutch pedal, which, when pressed, separates the crankshaft of the engine and gearbox.
