Removing

1. Remove the gearbox. Refer to Procedure: Gearbox (308-03 Manual transmission / transmission in a block with a driving axle, Removal).

2.

WARNING: If brake fluid comes into contact with paintwork, immediately wash the affected area with cold water.

3. Special tool: 303-538

CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the bearing.

4. Insert a 2.5 x 15 mm self-tapping screw no more than 2 turns into the input shaft seal and remove the seal with pliers.

Installation

1. Tape the input shaft splines to protect the O-ring from damage.

2. Special tool: 308-643



3. Remove the adhesive tape.

4. Install the clutch slave cylinder. Tightening torque: 11 Nm

5. Install the transmission assembly. Refer to Procedure: Gearbox (308-03 Manual transmission / transmission in a block with a driving axle, Removal).

6. Remove air from the hydraulic clutch. Refer to Procedure: Bleeding Clutch System (308-00 Manual Transmission / Transaxle Transmission and Clutch - General Information, General Procedures).
