Shift Cable Adjustment (Freelander 2)

1. Check the operation of the gearbox.

2. Place the shift lever in neutral (NEUTRAL).



3. Remove the shift lever handle. Refer to Procedure: Gear Lever Handle (308-06 Manual transaxle/gearbox external controls, Removal and installation).





6. Disconnect the left cable clamp.



7. Let the shift lever stop in neutral.

8. Secure the selector cable clip without changing the position of the gear selector.

9. Fix a cover of the lever of a gear change.

10. Install the storage compartment tray.

11. Install the shift knob. Refer to Procedure: Gear Lever Handle (308-06 Manual transaxle/gearbox external controls, Removal and installation).
