The fuel tank is filled through an aluminum filler neck, which is connected via a rubber hose to the rear right side of the tank. The filler neck is closed with a screw cap.
An in-line check valve is installed in the tank filler hose and is held permanently closed by a spring. The non-return valve opens only when the vehicle is refueled. The non-return valve minimizes fuel spillage in the event of a damaged filler pipe in an accident.
The vent hose is routed from the fuel filler pipe to the flange of the fuel delivery module. The vent hose connects to the vent line on the flange of the fuel delivery module.
