Oil cooler (Freelander 2)

Removing

1. Disconnect the wire "masses" battery. Refer to procedure: Specifications (414-00 Charging system - General information, Specifications).

2. Raise the car.

WARNING: Place secure stands under the vehicle.

3. Drain the coolant. Refer to Procedure: Drain/Fill Coolant and Bleed Cooling System (303-03B Engine Cooling - 2.2L Duratorq - Td4, General Procedures).

4. Remove the air conditioning compressor (A/C). Refer to Procedure: A/C Compressor - 2.2L Duratorq - Td4 (412-01 Climate control, Removal and installation).

5. Remove the throttle body. Refer to Procedure: Throttle Body (303-04B Fuel supply and controls - 2.2L Duratorq - Td4, Removal and installation).

6. Disconnect the engine oil pressure sensor electrical connector (EOP).







7. Tightening torque: 20 Nm

Prepare to collect spilled liquid. Discard the seal.

8. Tightening torque: 10 Nm

CAUTION: Discard seal.

NOTE: Do not proceed with further dismantling if the element is removed only for access.

Installation

1. Reinstall the elements, working in reverse order.

2. Check engine oil level, top up if necessary.
