The pressed steel oil sump is sealed with liquid sealant and secured with 21 captive bolts to the oil sump housing. The engine oil drain plug is located on the rear right side of the oil sump.
NOTE: Access to the oil sump drain plug requires removal of the vehicle's lower guard.
The oil dipstick is located on the left side of the engine. The two marks on the end of the dipstick correspond to the minimum and maximum oil levels. For more information, see the section on the lubrication system.
