Heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) (Freelander 2)

310-121 Wrench, H02S

WARNING: Use caution when working near hot exhaust system components.

Removing

1. Raise and support the vehicle.

WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Be sure to install reliable supports under the car.

2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Procedure: Engine Cover - 2.2L Duratorq - Td4 (501-05 Interior trim, Removal and installation).



4. Using the special tool, remove the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S). Special tool: 310-121

Installation

1. Grease information for H02S sensors is given in the specifications section. Refer to procedure: Specifications (303-08B Emission Control - 2.2L Duratorq - Td4, Specifications).

2. Apply grease to the sensor threads.

CAUTION: Be careful not to get grease on the tip of the HO2S.

3. Install the HO2S. Special tool: 310-121. Tightening torque: 45 Nm

4. Mate the HO2S electrical connector.

5. Install the engine cover. Refer to Procedure: Engine Cover - 2.2L Duratorq - Td4 (501-05 Interior trim, Removal and installation).
