Exhaust gas temperature sensor (Freelander 2)

WARNING: Use caution when working near hot exhaust system components.

NOTE: The description of the removal procedure may contain a description of the installation steps.

1. Raise and support the vehicle.

WARNING: Do not work near or under a vehicle that has only been jacked up. Be sure to support the car with special stands.

2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to procedure: Engine Cover - 2.2L Diesel (501-05, Removal and installation).



4. Tightening torque: 35 Nm

CAUTION: Before disconnecting or removing components, clean the areas around the hinges and joints. Plug all open connections to avoid contamination of the system.

Installation

1. Apply grease to the sensor threads. Refer to procedure: Specifications (303-08, Specifications).

2. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
